Domain users or groups cannot be selected in the "Select Users, Computers, Service Accounts or Groups" window because Location is SVM's FQDN

  • CIFS is configured as AD mode.

Issue

  • When changing file permissions, domain users or groups cannot be added.
  • SVM FQDN is shown in folder > Properties > Security > Edit > Add > "From this location" of "Select Users, Computers, Service Accounts or Groups" window.
  • SVM returns collect domain information to clients.
