  • Yes a SVM can be configured to have SAN luns and NAS file-based access on the same SVM
  • Best practices recommend to separate the traffic on to different LIF's as NAS traffic is failed over to LIF's on other nodes and SAN traffic uses multi-pathing to separate nodes for failover
