Does ONTAP in Cluster-Mode support specifying a user account in the ". \ User" format?
Applies to
ONTAP 9
Answer
- Specifying a user account in the "
.\User"
format is not supported. - The specified "." Is recognized as a Domain and searches for Domain information. Of course, there is no such domain name, so it will return
Nt status error "0xC0000466"
. - There is no way to prevent the nt_status error from being output on the ONTAP side.
- Requires access as a domain user or as a local ONTAP user.
