DNS Create and PREFDC add fails with error "Network is unreachable" for DNS servers with IP xx.xx.xx.127

Issue

  • DNS Create fails

cluster::> dns create -vserver svm1 -domains naslab.local -name-servers xx.xx.xx.127,xx.xx.xx.190,xx.xx.xx.191
Error: Failed to verify the specified DNS configuration.
       xx.xx.xx.127: Network is unreachable.
       xx.xx.xx.190: Server is reachable.
       xx.xx.xx.191: Server is reachable.
       command failed: Verify that the network configuration is correct and that DNS servers are available. Specify "-skip-config-validation" to skip the configuration validation.

  • DNS Check fails ( If DNS CREATE with -skip-config-validation was already run)

cluster::> dns check -vserver svm1

  • PREFDC add fails

  • Cluster Management LIF resides on Node-01

cluster::> net int show -vserver cluster -role cluster-mgmt

  • SSH to cluster was done via Cluster Management LIF

Note: This issue is not seen when running the dns create or prefdc add when logged in to cluster using Node-02 MGMT LIF.
