NetApp does not support this configuration and cannot recommend putting the load balancer in the preferred DC list

Additional Information

  • ONTAP has a built-in discovery process that eliminates the need for a load balancer in front of the domain controllers
  • Load balancers are not configured for AD, and ONTAP expects to bind to a Domain Controller which would result in Kerberos Modified Ticket errors
