  • For a LIF that is not reachable in ONTAP it would be expected to see reachability errors on that port
  • ONTAP virtual IP (VIP) LIFs would be a more suitable solution
  • A VIP data LIF is a LIF that is not part of any subnet and is reachable from all ports that host a BGP LIF in the same IPspace
