Can I use the name "netlogon" for a share name?

Answer

No.  Creating a 'netlogon' share name will not work as the named pipe 'netlogon' is already known to be used for other purposes associated with NTLM passthrough authentication to DCs.  It would be expected to cause a name collision if created.
