Issue

  • Accessing NTFS volume using Unix user fails with below error
user1@host ~]#cd /mnt/filer01
user1@host advfiler01]#ls
ls: reading directory'.': Permission denied
  • EMS contains an error that shows name mapping failure
11/29/2022 11:00:06 node1 ERROR secd.nfsAuth.noNameMap: vserver (vserver1) Cannot map UNIX name to CIFS name. Error: Get user credentials procedure failed
[    42] Mapping an unknown UID to default windows user
[    44] Unable to map '####'. No default Windows user defined.
**[    44] FAILURE: Name mapping for UNIX user '####' failed. No mapping found
