CIFS shares inaccessible due to invalid characters in share name

Issue

  • After 7MODE to Cluster mode migration, some SMB clients are unable to mount CIFS shares.
  • Cifs share not listing when checked with exact share name.
cluster::> cifs share show -vserver vs1 -share-name share1
There are no entries matching your query.
  • However, when checked with keyword matching share name or listing all shares, its listing the share:
cluster::> cifs share show -vserver vs1 -share-name *share1*
