CIFS server account password does not match password stored in AD

Issue

Users are not able to access CIFS shares.
  • Found Kerberos error in EMS event:
    secd.kerberos.preauth: Kerberos pre-authentication failure due to out-of-sync machine account password for server
  • The password reset fails with no servers available
    ::> vserver cifs domain password reset -vserver <SVM name>
  • Found authentication is attempted via port 636 while there is no LDAPS configuration
