CIFS authentication fails due to bad kerberos ticket from DC. Error: Response is incorrectly signed

Issue

The following messages are seen in the logs or on the console when running the cifs resetdc command:

cifs.server.errorMsg:error]: CIFS: Error for server \\<CIFS_SERVER>: CIFS Session Setup Error STATUS_MORE_PROCESSING_REQUIRED. cifs.server.errorMsg:error]: CIFS: Error for server \\<DC_NAME>: Response is incorrectly signed.

Packet traces show DC reporting error KRB5KRB_AP_ERR_MODIFIED in response to a session set up or ldap sasl bind.
