Issue

  • A high amount of broadcast traffic was observed after ONTAP upgrade to version 9.8.
  • The rate of broadcast traffic generated caused problems in part of the network leading to loss of data access.
  • Storm Control on the network device can disable ports where ONTAP is connected because of high broadcasts
