Issue

  • Missing encryption types AES-128 & AES-256 after ONTAP upgrade
  • Unable to modify encryption types as password update fails:

Cluster::*> cifs security modify -vserver svm01 -advertised-enc-types aes-128,aes-256,rc4,desInfo: In order to update the advertised encryption types, the password for the CIFS server machine account must be reset.

Enter the username and password for the domain user.

Enter your user ID: user@domain.local

Enter your password:

Error: command failed: Password update failed. Reason: SecD Error: no server available.
