After LIF migration, CIFS authentication fails on the destination node

Issue

  • After a CIFS LIF is migrated to a new node, attempts to set up new CIFS session to that node begin to fail
  • When node reboot/LIF migration, node reports the below errors:

secd.dns.srv.lookup.failed: DNS server failed to look up service (_ldap._tcp.csxt.ad.csx.com) for vserver (SVM01) with error (Operation timed out).
secd.dns.server.timed.out: DNS server 10.96.14.xx did not respond to vserver = SVM01 within the timeout interval.
