Issue

  • After the client restarts and immediately attempts to access a CIFS shared folder, access will fail due to the following error.

[kern_secd:info:11252] | [000.197.425] ERR : establishContext: GSSAPI Error: (d0000), Kerberos Error: (Cluster, Domain Controller or Client time differs by more than the configured clock skew with respect to the others (KRB5KRB_AP_ERR_SKEW))
[kern_secd:info:11252] | [000.197.432] ERR : RESULT_ERROR_KERBEROS_SKEW:7537 in establishContext() at src/SpnegoCtx.cpp:835
[kern_secd:info:11252] | [000.197.444] info : Kerberos authentication failed with result: 7537.

  • Shortly after, the issue automatically resolves itself, allowing normal access to the CIFS share.
