How to suppress the SNMP TRAP generated due to SCV processing ?
Applies to
- SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere (SCV)
- ONTAP 9
- AutoSupport(ASUP)
Answer
- There is no method to suppress the SNMP trap from the ONTAP side
- It needs to check on the side of SNMP receiver
Additional Information
- The SCV processed EMS ASUP Data collection by the builtin schedule Schedule-AsupDataCollection as job
- The message has been generated on
app.log.info
as events on ONTAP - ONTAP sends the events as SNMP TRAP like below
