High latency for SM-S primary volume due to intercluster network

Issue

  • The client reports intermittent slowness for write operations.
  • The latency is seen from sync replication without the change in the workload.
  • No performance contentions were noticed at the source or destination cluster.
  • Stopping the sync replication resolved the slowness issue.
