vol.duplicate.msid event triggered for LS mirrors after upgrading to 9.12.1P4

Issue

  • After upgrade , EMS starts to send emergency alerts there are duplicate MSIDs on LS mirrors.   
Wed Jun 21 23:53:45 -0500 [node-01: mgwd: vol.duplicate.msid:EMERGENCY]: Duplicate MSID "2157483507" has been detected in SVM "svm1". The duplicate MSID is used for volumes "svm1_root_ls01" and "svm1_root".

  • The volumes are cofirmed to be LS mirrors and not a FlexGroup Member.  
::> volume show -msid <msid_number>
::> snapmirror show -vserver <svm_name> -type LS
::> vol show -vserver <svm_name> -volume <volume_name> -fields is-constituent,is-flexgroup
