vServer migration fails due to no eligible aggregate on destination cluster

Last Updated:

Applies to

  • ONTAP 9
  • vserver migrate
  • NetApp Aggregate Encryption (NAE)

  • vServer migration fails due to no eligible aggregate on destination cluster to place the volumes:
Error: No eligible online aggregate to place the volume "Vol01". Use the "storage aggregate show -ha-policy sfo -state online -snaplock-type non-snaplock -composite false -encrypt-with-aggr-key false " to list the eligible aggregates on the destination cluster to place volume "Vol01". Determine if sufficient space is available on destination aggregates for all volumes with matching properties on the source.
  • Source vserver contains plain-text volumes
  • Destination cluster contains only aggregates with NAE enabled
