Why does efficiency scan continue to run constantly on DP volume?

Answer

  • The Volume efficiency on The DP volume is Controlled by SnapMirror (SnapVault Policy) ,i.e. efficiency scan is triggered once the replication end.
  • The SnapMirror will stop any ongoing efficiency scan on the volume once the scheduled replication starts.
  • Once the SnapMirror replication is done efficiency scan is again resumed.
  • This is expected Behavior.
