Answer

  • There is no official list of settings that require manual reconfiguration after restoring from an external cluster or node configuration backup.
  • To complete the process, review and reapply any custom options or configurations that were documented prior to the restore.
  • Using previously recorded configuration notes is recommended to ensure all necessary parameters are restored.

Additional Information

After restoring from an external cluster/node configuration backup, certain settings may need to be manually reconfigured. These settings include:
  • NetApp Volume Encryption (NVE) and NetApp Aggregate Encryption (NAE)
  • NetApp Storage Encryption (NSE) and Self Encrypting Drives (SED)
  • OKM related settings
  • SSL certificates
  • SnapMirror Settings

Cluster peer, Vserver peer, and SnapMirror sessions need to be reconfigured as they are part of user data and require reconfiguration similar to aggregates and volumes.
