  • Storage System Performance
  • SnapMirror Replication

Answer

  • Is Directory Index Transfer Enabled controls whether directory index files are included in SnapMirror replication.
  • The behavior depends on the setting:
    • true: Directory index files are transferred by SnapMirror and are replicated to the destination volume.
    • false: Directory index files are excluded from SnapMirror transfers and will not be created on the destination volume.
  • This setting is relevant when directory metadata consistency or directory access performance is important in a replicated environment.
