Answer

  • The default value of the raid.timeout option is 24 hours.
  • This timeout value is reset when the node is restarted (Takeover or Giveback). After the restart, the 24-hour countdown begins again.
  • While it is possible to change the timeout value to 48 hours or other durations, it is not recommended. It is advised to replace the disk promptly and revert the timeout value back to 24 hours to maintain optimal system performance.
