Volume move on mixed cluster from 9.8 node to 9.12.1 node fails

Issue

  • After joining new nodes running ONTAP 9.12.1 to a cluster running ONTAP 9.8 and performing a volume move to migrate volumes to the new nodes, the move fails with the following error:
Replication encountered an unknown error. Filesystem error. (Function not implemented.)
