Issue

  • Volume encryption conversion shows the following error:

Cluster::> volume encryption conversion show -vserver vs1 -volume vol1

        Vserver Name: vs1
        Volume Name: vol1
        Start Time: 12/02/2025 05:32:46
        Status: Capacity Tier is unavailable. Scanner will auto-resume when the capacity tier is available.

  • The object store is available. 
  • The profiler test indicates no issues.
  • However, the encryption conversion process is not resuming.
  • We see the following EMS event reported frequently.

[Node1: OscLowPriThreadPool: wafl.ca.latency.threshold:notice]: Measured latency from cloud (11447 msec) more than threshold (5000 msec) (aggregate: "aggr1", aggregate uuid: "cfc54894-xxxx-xxxx-86fb-5b872e0d3c27", object store: "Obj1")
