Unable to create snapshot on FlexGroup volume when it is in FlexCache relationship

Issue

  • Snapshot creation on FlexGroup volume fails with error.

::> snapshot create <FlexGroup volume name> -vserver <vserver name> test

Error: command failed: Cannot determine the status of the Snapshot copy create operation for "test" on volume
"FlexGroup volume name" on Vserver "vserver name". Verify that the copy is present. If necessary, try the operation again.

  • EMS sometimes shows the log:

[node name: snapd_cmode: wafl.snap.create.skip.reason:error]: <FlexGroup constituent name>  xxxxxxxx: Skipping creation of xxxx Snapshot copy (Snapshot creation could not be initiated within ten seconds).
