Storage failover command fails due to Error Node has lost communcation with other cluster nodes

Issue

  • While testing failover capabilities, the process fails with the error below:
::> storage failover takeover -ofnode cluster1-01
Warning: A takeover will be initiated. When the partner node reboots, a giveback will be automatically initiated. Do you want to continue? {y|n}: y
Error: command failed: Failed to initiate takeover. Reason: Node "cluster1-01" has lost communcation with other cluster nodes. Verify that the node is "in-quorum" using the advanced "cluster kernel-service show" command, or if you wish to proceed use "-ignore-quorum-warnings true" and try the command again.
