Issue

SnapDiff v3 Does Not Work with Commvault: “API not found” Error When Using Cluster Management LIF
 

When attempting to configure and test SnapDiff v3 backups with Commvault (using cluster-based configuration), the following error is returned when using the cluster management LIF:

Log Output:

$ curl -u snapdiff -k https://hostname/api/snapdiff/volumesEnter host password for user 'snapdiff':{  "error": {    "message": "API not found",    "code": "3"  }}
  • SnapDiff v3 login fails and snapshots cannot be created.
  • Commvault UI may show “cluster-based” configuration, but authentication fails.
