Issue

Snapshot creation fails and the following error message is seen in EMS:

EMS Message:

Tue Dec 01 11:00:12 -0800 [Cluster01-01: snapd_cmode: wafl.snap.create.skip.reason:error]: vol1  6c288275-5420-11e6-99f3-00a0981508a4: Skipping creation of snap1 Snapshot copy (Snapshot creation could not be initiated within ten seconds).

or in later ONTAP versions:

Wed Nov 19 00:06:11 -0500 [Cluster01-01: snapd_cmode: wafl.snap.create.skip.reason:error]: fg_vol__0001  56316b0e-bb09-11e9-bf3a-00a098f37d47: Skipping creation of hourly.2025-11-19_0005 snapshot (Snapshot operation could not be completed within the timeout window.).
