Object-store mirror fails from one node due to DNS error

Issue

  • The object-store mirror command fails:
::> storage aggregate object-store mirror -aggregate aggr2 -object-store-name objectstore1

Error: command failed: Cannot verify availability of the object store from node
cluster1-01. Reason: Hostname "cluster1.com" cannot be resolved. Check the spelling of the hostname and
check the systems DNS availability using the "vserver services name-service dns check" command.

  • dns.server.timed.out and objstore.host.unresolvable events are reported at the same time.
  • AutoSupports were also not being sent from the node with the issue.
