ONTAP 9.10.1 Licensing: Capacity License Has Inaccurate Value

Issue

  • There is a known issue in ONTAP 9.10.1 and later where the “capacity” value in the license is sometimes inaccurate (example: “1”)
  • The issue shows itself in the Licenses area of System Manager, and in some ONTAP CLIs
  • There is no impact to ONTAP operation from this issue
  • ONTAP 9.10.1 and later support “capacity” type licenses that include a numeric value intended to define the capacity limit of the license
  • There is no enforcement of the capacity limit, so this issue has no impact to ONTAP operation
