Node disruption during SVM DR initialize operation after an upgrade

Issue

  • After ONTAP upgrade, node disruption may occur during the SVM DR initialization.
  • Node goes in a reboot loop reporting below panic string:

Panic String :page fault (supervisor read data, page not present) on VA 0xfffff700f64fdfe8 cs:rip 0x20:0xffffffff806ab380 rflags 0x10286 in SK process worker_thread_685 on release 9.8P5 (C)

  • A core file is generated during the panic event.
