Newly Observed counters do not show any values although the Number of File Extensions Observed keeps increasing

Issue

The Newly Observed counters within Surge Observed do not show any values, although the Number of File Extensions Observed keeps increasing.
 
Example:
 
cluster1::> security anti-ransomware volume workload-behavior  show -vserver svm1 -volume vol1
               Number of File Extensions Observed: 128
  Surge Observed
                   Newly Observed File Extensions: -
         Number of Newly Observed File Extensions: -
 
Several days later
 
cluster1::> security anti-ransomware volume workload-behavior show -vserver svm1 -volume vol1
               Number of File Extensions Observed: 145
  Surge Observed
                   Newly Observed File Extensions: -
         Number of Newly Observed File Extensions: -
