Limited storage failover capabilities due to user account privileges within ONTAP

Issue

  • When the storage failover command is entered into CLI; nothing happens.   
    • No errors, or CLI output are shown as a result of entering the command.
  • User is unable to perform storage failover giveback. 
    • Example:

  filer1::storage failover*> ?
  hwassist>                   Hardware assist functionality related commands
  internal-options>           *Display the internal options for storage
                              failover
  mailbox-disk>               *Display the status of storage failover mailbox
                              disks
  nvce>                       *The nvce directory
  progress-table>             *Display the storage failover progress table
  show                        Display storage failover status
  show-giveback               Display giveback status
  show-takeover               Display takeover status
