Hyperv virtual fibre channel no longer functioning after installing WUHU 7.2 with Emulex HBA

Issue

  • After Installing Windows host Utilities(WUHU) 7.2 Hyper-v virtual fabric are no longer able to login to the fabric via NPIV
  • Physical fiber channel host ports are functioning normally and able to login to the fabric and see LUNs presented to the host
  • HBA is set to isHyperVcapable :  false
  • From powershell run the following to verify card capability:

PS C:\Users\admin> gwmi -n root\virtualization\v2 Msvm_ExternalFcPort -Property InstanceId, WWPN, IsHyperVCapable
__GENUS          : 2
__CLASS          : Msvm_ExternalFcPort
...
IsHyperVCapable  : False
WWPN             : XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
