  • Thick volumes: If snapshots are deleted from a thick volume the corresponding space will be released to the volume not to the aggregate.
  • Thin Volumes: If snapshots are deleted from a thin volumes the corresponding space will be released to the aggregate.

Snapshots should always be deleted in oldest first order
