Answer

  • Via CLI, you can change the value with the following command:
::> volume modify -vserver <svm_name> -volume <volume_name> -tiering-minimum-cooling-days <2-63>
  • In System Manager from ONTAP 9.9.1 onwards, use the Volume page -> Volume -> Edit Cloud Tier Settings or the Tiers -> Local tier -> Volumes -> Edit Cloud Tier Settings pages.
