Issue

  • Frequent and recurring l2_reachability health check failures are reported for the e0M management port. These errors intermittently cause the port to be marked as degraded, triggering alerts in monitoring systems.

EMS.log:

[cluster1-01:vifmgr.port.monitor.failed:error]: The "l2_reachability" healthcheck for port e0M (node cluster1-01) has failed. The port is operating in a degraded state.[cluster1-02:vifmgr.port.monitor.failed:error]: The "l2_reachability" healthcheck for port e0M (node cluster1-02) has failed. The port is operating in a degraded state.

cluster1::> network port reachability show -node cluster1-01 -port e0M
Node: cluster1-01
Port: e0M
Expected Broadcast Domain: Default:Mgmt
Reachable Broadcast Domains: -
Reachability Status: no-reachability
Unreachable Ports: cluster1-02:a0a-1202,cluster1-02:e0M
  • The problem is intermittent and not always present, but recurs periodically.
