Issue

  • When using the ONTAP CLI command volume file clone create to clone a LUN from a snapshot, the operation may fail with the following error: 

Error: command failed: A relative path must be used for "Source/Destination" when a volume is specified.

  • This occurs during LUN cloning operations where the source and destination paths are specified incorrectly.
  • No hardware or environmental issues were detected.
