Issue

  • The following EMS alert is seen:
Tue Mar 14 14:20:08 -0700 [Cluster01-01: wafl_exempt00: wafl.vol.runningOutOfInodes:error]: The file system on "vol1@vserver:6a2501a6-0e93-11e9-ab3b-00a098e64a3e" is using 80 percent or more of the files in public inode space that can be contained on the volume.
  • The df -i command confirms the volume is running low on inodes:
Cluster01::> df -i vol1
 
Filesystem   iused      ifree  %iused  Mounted on
/vol/vol1/   19593491   1657635   92%  /vol/vol1/
