Yes, ONTAP support enabling NetApp Volume Encryption (NVE) with Self-Encrypting Drives (SED) on the same node.
You can use NVE with hardware-based encryption to "double encrypt" data on self-encrypting drives. 
This means that you can have both NVE and SEDs enabled on the same system, providing an additional layer of security for your data.
