Cannot unjoin nodes from a Cluster that were physically moved

Issue

  • 4 node cluster being changed to a two node cluster by removing nodes.
  • In this scenario nodes 1 and 2 are being unjoined.   
  • Nodes 1 and 2 were shut down and physically moved to a new Data Center.
  • Cannot unjoin nodes 1 and 2.
 
::> cluster remove-node -node node-01  
Error: Cannot remove a node that is offline. Retry the operation with "-force true" to forcibly remove a node that is down.  Node "node-01" has 1 volumes. Please either move or delete them from the node before removing the node.  The volumes are: <vol1,vol2>
