Can't reach management lifs in ifgrp on same network

Applies to

  • ONTAP 9+
  •  Switched management network

Issue

  • Cannot reach node or cluster management IPs even when on the same network
  • Cannot ping in or out
  • Management lifs are in an ifgrp
  •  LACP checks out using

:>ifconfig -v

  • The switches are visible using the command 

 ::> network device-discovery show

  • Gateway/default route is set in the same subnet on management network
