CIFS Audit Config Error 'Unencrypted volumes not supported in NAE aggregates'

Issue

  • When trying to configure CIFS auditing, the following error is encountered:
Error: command failed: Failed to create audit configuration for Vserver “SVM_01”. Reason: [Job 838] Job failed: Metadata verification failed.  [Job 87633] Job failed: Failed to create the volume on node “NODE-02”. Reason: Unencrypted volumes are not supported in NAE (NetApp Aggregate Encryption) aggregates.
  • This error occurs even when the aggregates are not configured for NAE (NetApp Aggregate Encryption)
