Applies to

  • Transport set to SMTP
  • ONTAP 9
  • Clustered Data ONTAP 8
  • AutoSupport

Issue

  • Not sending (PERFORMANCE DATA) NOTICE and (USER_TRIGGERED) NOTICE logs
  • In the Active IQ dashboard - Autosupport section you confirm the (PERFORMANCE DATA) NOTICE and (USER_TRIGGERED) NOTICE logs are missing (aka not reaching NetApp)
  • But you can confirm (MANAGEMENT_LOG) NOTICE and (WEEKLY_LOG) NOTICE Autosupports are being received
  • From the command line Autosupport history show confirms that all logs are sent-successful
>Destination for This AutoSupport Trigger Event Time of Last Update Status of Delivery
SMTP callhome.performance.data 4/10/2020 00:20:46 sent-successful
SMTP callhome.management.log 4/10/2020 00:31:06 sent-successful
SMTP callhome.weekly 4/5/2020 00:16:14 sent-successful
SMTP callhome.invoke.all 4/4/2020 14:25:33 sent-successful
  • Testing connectivity from the command line also confirms connections are working

cluster1::> system node autosupport check show -node node_name
