Autosupport fails to send via SMTP after the mail server was changed

Issue

  • Autosupport fails to send via SMTP after the mail server was changed via system node autosupport modify -mail-hosts command.
    • Old mail host IP:   100.65.11.22
    • New mail host IP: 100.65.11.33
  • The ping test between ONTAP and the new mail server is OK.
  • The mail server and firewall have been configured to use SMTP port 25 for network communication.
  • notifyd log reports Connectivity check to SMTP Mail Host 100.65.11.33 destination failed. Reason: Timeout was reached
