Autosupport Transmission failed with Error 503 as 7z files are Blocked

Issue

AutoSupport messages fail to send via HTTPS.

Symptoms:

  • AutoSupport delivery fails with HTTP 503 errors.
  • Notifyd logs show “FileTransferBlocked” and references to “.7z” files.
  • The following messages are seen on Autosupport check show-details:

Component: https-put-destination
Status: failed
Detail: HTTPS PUT connectivity check failed for destination: https://support.netapp.com/put/AsupPut/. Server responded with Error: 503.

Component: https-post-destination
Status: failed
Detail: HTTPS POST connectivity check failed for destination: https://support.netapp.com/asupprod/post/1.0/postAsup. Server responded with Error: 503.

  • The following messages can be seen on Notifyd logs:

000001e2.0027a498037624ba [kern_notifyd:info:3391] The file you are trying to download or upload has been blocked in accordance with company policy. Please contact your system administrator if you believe this is an error.
