e0M port link status does not change when removing or connecting a network cable

Issue

  • When e0M is up status, removing the network cable from the wrench port doesn't change the link status from "up" to "down"
  • Conversely, if there no cable is attached to the wrench port and the port status is "down" and then a network cable is connected , e0M port link status remains "down" -- it does not ever change to "up"
  • Node management access can be affected because LIF failover does not occur due to a valid link status change
