"coredump.findcore.nocore" messages are reported after the system power cycle

Issue

  • System is power cycled.

Example:

Record 838: Wed Dec 09 00:55:34.000000 2020 [BMC.emergency]: System input power lost


Record 891: Wed Dec 09 02:33:17.000000 2020 [Controller.notice]: Appliance user command halt.
Record 892: Wed Dec 09 02:33:18.340000 2020 [IPMI.notice]: 001d | 02 | EVT: 6f03ffff | Sensor 255 | Assertion Event, "Storage OS graceful shutdown"

 

  • EMS reports the following message after the system boot up.

  • coredump-autosave job is executed by the system after the system boot up.

     This info could be found in mgwd log.

  • coredump-status shows there is nocore dumped on the system.
