Unable to login to SP of one node after ONTAP upgrade

Issue

  • Unable to login to SP of one node after an ONTAP upgrade, despite using the correct credentials, receiving permission denied.
  • The following errors are reported in event logs of the affected node:

[netapp-01: spnr_main: sp.dup.ip:error]: SP IP address 10.10.1.5 in use by another system.
[netapp-01: spnr_main: sp.dup.ip:error]: SP IP address 10.10.1.5 in use by another system.

  • Able to log in to cluster and other node SP IPs with the same credentials.
  • Able to log in to the node SP via serial console access.
  • This issue can also be seen after a head swap activity, where SP can be accessed remotely, but errors are seen in EMS.
